How to restore backup through Quick Heal Software
To restore backup through Quick Heal latest version, below are the steps.
Open Quick Heal by clicking on Quick Heal Desktop icon.
On Quick Heal main dashboard, First click on “Privacy” and then under Privacy click on “Restore Backup” as highlighted in below screen shot.
By clicking on “Restore Backup” option this will take you to the next windows as below;
To move on to the new windows, need to click on gear icon highlighted in above screenshot which will further take you to the next windows as shows in below screenshot;
Note: In this windows, you will get two options to proceed with backup restoration.
From System: With this, you can restore data from current backup location on your computer.
From Other Sources: With this, you can restore data from any other location where the backup is available.
Steps to restore using “From System” option:
Navigate the “Restore Backup” option and click on gear icon as shows in below screen shot;
In this windows, simply click on “Next” button which will take you to the new window where Restore location where you wish to restore backup to be selected. Disk space require to restore backup can also be shown in this window.
In above screenshot, we wish to restore backup in “D:\QH_Restore” and this location can be selected by user as per the and availability free disk space on the drive.
Upon selecting appropriate location where backup to be restore, you can click on “OK” button which will further take you to the next window where you will see some detailed information about “Disk space required to restore backup: xx MB/GB” , “Restore location” that is selected, “Select Location” option to change the restore location if you wish to change and “Free disk space on the disk out of total disk space”
Click “Next” button to start restore process.
On successful restore, you will get below success message.
Steps to restore using “From System” option:
Open Quick Heal by clicking on Quick Heal Desktop icon.
On Quick Heal main dashboard, First click on “Privacy” and then under Privacy click on “Restore Backup” as highlighted in below screen shot.
By clicking on “Restore Backup” option this will take you to the next windows as below;
To move on to the new windows, need to click on gear icon highlighted in above screenshot which will further take you to the next windows as shows in below screenshot where “From Other Sources” radio button to be selected.
You will also get the option to browse backup folder from the disk.
In above case, source backup folder is “cfrbackup-JMVGZWGB”
Click “Next” to "Select Location” to restore and click “Next” to start restore process exactly as the same we did in restore “From System” option.
